Rovers Draw Portsmouth Away

Blackburn Rovers will be facing a quicker than anticipated re-match with Portsmouth (with them having recently beaten us 1-0 at Ewood Park) as the two sides were drawn together in the Carling Cup.

The Fourth Round draw was made on Saturday lunchtime and Rovers have been given the difficult task of a trip to Fratton Park to face Premiership rivals Portsmouth, a place in the Quarter Finals, and a step closer to Wembley will await the winners. The only other all-Premiership tie is between Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City.

The match will take place at the end of October, in the week commencing Monday 29th October.

Not the kindest of draws is it, especially with them coming into form and hitting seven against Reading on Saturday!!!

look at the bright side...it will probably be shown live!

Good point dude but knowing Sky Sports they will decide that Bolton vs. Manchester City is the more appealing all-Premiership tie?!?!
The Cardiff vs. Liverpool will be the other match shown (with the Robbie Fowler appeal?)

could be a goal-scoring classic, especially after pompey-reading. not the best of draws for you lot though. how do you view the CC anyway.
