Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen believes (like me!!!) that Rovers can win this seasons UEFA Cup.
Recently Rovers manager Mark Hughes has welcomed the expectations levels Rovers fans are raising, and believes that Rovers are capable of winning silverware as they are now regarded as one of this countries better sides (so this is understandable) so he fells that Rovers CAN and WILL challenge for honours, something that Gamst Pedersen also agrees with and he feels this could be in this season UEFA Cup, which begins in this seasons UEFA Cup proper on Thursday with the first round first leg tie against Larissa in Greece.
Norwegian International Gamst Pedersen told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "Of course we can, we are a good side, we've just drawn against Chelsea and Arsenal, so why can't we do well against other teams.
"We will take one game at a time and hopefully we can go a long way. It is s tough competition this year, but we can do well in it I am sure of that.
"We are looking forward to the game on Thursday and to new challenges. Greece is far away, but we want to do well in the UEFA Cup and we've got a good chance.
"We have to be professional, it is an important game for us, and we will take a look at them on the videos and try to get as much information about them as we can."
Gamst Pedersen is right to target the old cliché of taking each game as it comes, as Hughes and his Rovers backroom staff would have it no other way, but why not target glory, it REALLY isn't that unrealistic!!!

Sometimes expectations may be unrealistic but the thought that Rovers could win this seasons UEFA Cup if far from that, and we WILL go very far, I genuinely feel (as I did last season) that Rovers can go all the way!!!
