Rovers Man of the Match vs. Man City

Vital Blackburn's most recent poll asked, "Rovers Man of the Match vs. Manchester City?" Roque Santa Cruz is the man.

After another fine performance for Rovers, this saw Santa Cruz with 29% of the vote narrowly take the accolade for the Man of the Match Award against Man City. He was pushed all the way by Brett Emerton (who I would agree with roversman probably deserved it) who finished second with 20%.

Everyone else was much the same, however, Brad Friedel (9%), Stephen Warnock (9%), David Dunn (7%) and Christopher Samba (7%) put up the best fight, as the best from the rest.

So in summary
Brad Friedel - 9%
Brett Emerton - 20%
Christopher Samba - 7%
Ryan Nelsen - 6%
Stephen Warnock - 9%
David Bentley - 5%
Robbie Savage - 1%
David Dunn - 7%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 2%
Roque Santa Cruz - 29%
Benni McCarthy - 4%
Tugay (Sub 16mins) - 1%

We now switch our attentions back to the Player of the Month, so having determined the top two positional ratings in each area we want to see who was the top dog for August so the current poll, suggested by The VBers (Vital Blackburners) is asking, "Player of the Month for August?" Who wins, you decide.

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings…

He has a great start for you, old sparky has worked his magic in the transfer market with this one.

The lad done well...
Decimus Poole
Certainly looks to be a good signing for you guys.
sw6cfc
cant complain... although I would of chose god as my man of the match. Great signing.
MikeyGamst
Well as you guys know, I plumped for Brett. Think although Santa got himself about he should have scored a goal on Sunday.
roversman
He should of buried that header... but we are a real threat from corners this year and we werent last year. Set pieces could prove invaluable especially with the machine and god in there.
MikeyGamst
When you say god, which one of our god like players are you on about? Samba, Nelson, Cruz, Pederson (although he normally taking the corner/freekick), all jolly good in the air. Then there is Oojier, Mokena, Roberts (from the bench). Should be quite fruitful from crosses/deadball situations this season, and MG has stated.
Decimus Poole
decimus... when I say god I mean Nelsen.... HDM can explain.lol
MikeyGamst
There is only one god (OK then two lol!) and that is Ryan Nelsen, pretty much explains itself I guess?!?!
Hughes Da Man
I'll make it easy... ryan nelsen plays very well for Blackburn, in fact very very well, in fact almost godly... so he is called god.
