Santa Cruz Top Rovers Forward

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked, "Forward of the Month for August?" You voted in favour of Roque Santa Cruz.

After a fine start, not only to the season, but his Rovers career unsurprisingly, and once again MOST definitely correctly Roque Santa Cruz has been voted the Forward of the Month for August. His 80% sees him romp away to become the winner and as such advances to the overall poll to determine the Player of the Month for August.

Matt Derbyshire's 8% sees him finish as runner up to Santa Cruz, and as such he also deservingly advances to the overall Player of the Month poll, taking place soon.

Benni McCarthy (6%), Maceo Rigters (3%) and Jason Roberts (3%) completed the poll.

So in summary
Matt Derbyshire - 8%
Benni McCarthy - 6%
Maceo Rigters - 3%
Jason Roberts - 3%
Roque Santa Cruz - 80%

The positional searches for August's Player of the Month are now out of the way, the overall vote to determine the Player of the Month for August will take place shortly, but first of all the current poll is asking, "Man of the Match vs. Manchester City?"

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings…

This was ANOTHER easy call, he's looking like a BARGAIN signing.
Look out for the overall Player of the Month Poll soon.

Sorry I am not impressed by him.

Perhaps should have had a goal yesterday but Kasper did well to thwart him. Definately deserved reult in this poll.

I can understand Platos reservations, for me 'the jury is still out'. I remember that this time last year, the same things that are now being said about RSC were being said about Nonda!! The other thing at the back of my mind is that a section of the fans at his previous club were very derogatory and were pleased to see the back of him. Time will tell whether or not this 'honeymoon period' at BRFC becomes consistent.

He has the history to prove what a talented footballer he is, I have no doubt about his ability to succede with Rovers. I like Nonda, and REALLY wanted him to be a success but I always had that doubt in my mind, something that I don't with Santa Cruz.
platos - You are entitled to your opinion dude, but I don't share this at all.

For the attention of commentatiors it's ROQUE not ROCKY Santa Cruz lol!!!

the rocky chant tho is superb... Easy pick for forward of the month, would be suprised if he doesnt get the player award as well.

The fans are fine, its the commentators doing a David Pleat-esque obvious miss prenouciation that bugs me. They are saying Rocky becauce they are stupib, not clever :) lol!
Hughes Da Man
itis a good chant though... lets keep it... Dave Pleat is a legend for his stupidness....
