Preston Sign Gallagher On Loan

On a quiet transfer deadline day for Blackburn Rovers one player did make his exit as had been expected as Paul Gallagher completed a loan move away from Ewood Park.

With his opportunities with Rovers limited Gallagher has signed for Championship side Preston North End until January, and such a move should be good for him, Rovers and Preston, that is what Mark Hughes believes anyway (and I would agree with him).

Hughes told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "I've let Paul go out for three months, he's going to go to Preston.

"I just feel he needs some football, he's a very good player and I don't really want exceptional players to go out of the football club for any period of time, but I just think he needs to get some game time under his belt and we'll give him that opportunity.

"It is on his doorstep as well so he can fit in quite quickly, there'll be no disruption so he can hit the ground running, and hopefully when he comes back he'll be match fit and a real option for us in the New Year
."

This is definitely a good move for everyone. Personally I am not sure he has a long-term future with Rovers, but I still hope so as he is a VERY underrated player.

HE is indeed will help him progress confidence is his main problem and this will give him that then come back to Ewood and he will get some games come the end of the season because we have 3 cup finals and the premiership title challenge going on lol.

True, so Rovers will need ALL the players they can, fighting on FOUR fronts and all that :) lol!
