He`s done it! The plonker with whisky blemished cheeks has decided enough is enough and selected David Bentley for England!

Steve MacLaren has taken the bold step of calling up Rovers' consistently high performing right winger, David Bentley to the England full squad for the forthcoming qualifiers.

The England squad is as follows: Robinson, James, Carson, Richards, Brown, Ferdinand, Terry, A. Cole, Campbell, P. Neville, Shorey, Bentley, Gerrard, Lampard, J.Cole, Wright-Phillips, Carrick, Barry, Downing, A. Young, Hargreaves, Smith, Owen, Crouch, Defoe

This is LONG overdue, and although there will be MANY opposed to this (however, had Bents been playing for their side and pulled out of the Under-21's for the reasons he did to benefit THEIR side, and England in the long run I can bet that they would not feel the same!!!) he more than deserves this.
