More Rumoured Departures (AGAIN!)

The final days of the current transfer window are BOUND to see several Blackburn Rovers players touted (often repeatedly) with possible moves away (in Newspaper world anyway) the week started as it seems likely to go on.

My colleague BomBom on Sunday wrote a great article on the Sunday tabloids' rumoured Rovers departures, and today is seeing YET MORE of this, but much like him I will not give ANY of the Newspapers that are reporting these moves any more publication than is necessary, as they DO NOT deserve it.

With West Ham United seemingly after literally every player that can actually kick a football these days (good or bad!!!) Sunday saw a little bit of news about them making a move for Rovers midfield Maestro Tugay. The Turkish Legend may be advancing in years, and may have found his opportunities limited this far this season (mainly down to David Dunn's SUPERB form!) but he is still very much a part of things here, so the thought that he might leave Ewood Park for Upton Park (even for more money) is highly unlikely, even though the suggestion is this could take place before the end of the week.

Not content to link just the one Rovers player to the Hammered further newspaper talk is claiming renewed interest from them in Benni McCarthy, and the thought is that an 8 million offer could tempt Rovers into selling?!?!

The Hammered seemed to have been thwarted at almost every turn in their attempts to sign so many players this summer but the chances of them signing McCarthy are somewhere between slim and none, as his aspirations are not looking much like being met by them any time soon, so even though LARGE amounts of money could be thrown in his direction this is not his main motivation, he LOVES Champions League Football and he WOULD NOT have much chance at all of getting that at any point in the remainder of his career with them.

We here are Vital Blackburn look forward to seeing what you offer us up tomorrow guys, More Rumoured Departures (AGAIN 2!) is looming large!!!

Did we not already reject an 8m or so offer for Benni this summer?

It's the 10m bids from the Spuds and Liverpool that makes me laugh!! We sold Duffer 5 years ago for 17m - what is Morten worth??? Certainly more than 10m - unless he has a dreaded release clause. Let's be honest it's all speculation in the aid of selling papers and no-one can believe one word of it until the transfers actually happen.

All this paper talk is just filler material. The players linked with moves and the reported fees are laughable. Seriously, Benni to Hammered - you're avin a giraffe aint ya!!!! Tugs link is even more crazy.

I can't see Tugay going anywhere. Would he not be a supporting role at the Hammers? So it would be a upheval for the same role he has here. And he is LOVED and ADORED and to some extent WORSHIPPED at Ewood, so why would he leave. I can't see Sparky letting either McCarthy or Gamst leave without having a more than adequate replacement. There will be no more departures this year. I am confident of such.

Pederson may go to Spurs but it would take a lot more than 10m being offered, Spurs are in the **** amd we could, if we wanted to, exploit this. Dont anyone take this as I want him to leave but of all the players mentioned I think he may be the easiest to replace at Rovers. Benni for 8m please, do me a favour, the air in London must be lite and going to the the Icelanders head if he thinks that would be enough to get Benni, mite buy Roberts though lol. As for Tugay going to West Ham, why?? he may only have one season left in him and may as well play it in a team in Europe, where he will get games.

All stupid rumours, always happens to the Rovers, it is not good though unsettles our players, like Benni thinking Chelsea and United were after him. Pdersen worth a lot more than 10 mill in our point of view, and that he is of a few actual left sided players, but would prefer the old Duff over him becuse Morten just has a run of g10 games a season and then doesn't do much really.

I cant see Tugay leaving for money he turned down a MASSIVE deal to go to Qatar a few years back and I dont see how he would want to leave, as Hughes says... "we love him".

well hopefully this lad Treacy will be like the Duff of old!??! The scout that found Damien also found Keith and says that he is better, so that does sound good should Pederson leave at least

Well saying it was the same man who found Duff, the article I was reading though i cant remember where now was a glowing report on Treacy. The Irish coaches also say that he will surpass wot Duff achieved, so hopefully if this is true in the future we will have learned from Duff and have NO clauses lol
