More Rumoured Departures!!!

The Media Transfer Machine is back in full production it seems as there are rumours and reports again this weekend regarding Blackburn players.

I am not going to use any of the quotes or comments from any of the sources as I do not really want to give them any more exposure than they deserve but I will say that the 2 players who have been linked with moves are...

Morton Gamst Pedersen (SHOCKER!!!) who apparently now is interesting, not only Spurs (YAWN) and Manchester United (Nani? Giggs? They need a Striker not a Left Midfielder!) and now the mighty Bayern München have expressed an interest (apparently) in Gamst. Why they feel he would be interested in leaving for Bayern, aside from CL games, is beyond me. We only have to wait till Friday to see if this is indeed accurate.

Christopher Samba, or the Wall, as he's affectionately known as with us VBer's has been linked with a potential move to Sevilla FC. Apparently the Rojiblancos are keen on Chris. This link is a little more nervy, given that Samba is still young at 23 and has been mightily impressive since arriving from Hertha Berlin last January. Sevilla also can offer CL football. Again, a slightly unfounded rumour that has come from nowhere but the clock is ticking on that window shutting and, personally, I cannot wait for it so shut!

On the other hand, there have been may quotes attributed to Mark Hughes saying that he has been told by the board that he does not need to sell and is confident of retaining the services of Benni and MGP.

Time will tell on this one but don't hold your breath!

Personally, I cannot see the MGP one happening but the Samba one i could, potentially see being done, for the right money anyway. Heres hoping not eh!
BomBom
i think and hope its all speculation!!! we dont need to sell! so i really dont think anyone is going this window.
Simon Garner Legend
ur missing the latest gossip, tugay of to the hammered!!! really doubt it but it is gossip
sasman
Yeah mainly speculation always a bit of a worry, and there is that rumour about Tugay leaving to West Ham, lots of stupid rumours today i reckon!!
roverjoy
Love the Tugay link, embarrasingly poor speculation. I can't see any of these deals happening. Samba would cost alot and I can't see Sevilla foking out masses for him.
roversman
Where's the Maestro link come from? Haven't come accross that one today. I dont think Seville will follow it up either but they have cash, they just waiting to spend it! I dont think Samba would cost more than £6 million IMO, i know we think hes worth more but hes still a relative unknown really, hes not had a full season in English football yet an hes kind of an unknown still.
BomBom
MGP news, different club, even different country but again he WILL NOT go anywhere, nor will Tugay (links for the Hammered with him must complete a full set for them, the full set being links with just about EVERY footballer to play the game!!!) or Samba.
I can't see ANYONE leaving this week, there is more chance of an arrivial, and even that is VERY remote.
Hughes Da Man
Hughes won't sell anyone. He doesn't want to and doesn't need to. Especially samba after the way he played against Everton he offers so much in defence with his pace and is deadly in attack at set pieces and i can't think of anyone we could bring in to replace him. He's worth far more to us than the ££'s that we could currently get for him and Hughes is clever enough to realise that.

"Why they feel he would be interested in leaving for Bayern, aside from CL games". Bayern didn't even qualify! (I wouldn't mind Gamst at Liverpool!)
Aamir
True, they are not in the Champions League this season but most years they will be won't they. But he won't go anyway.
Hughes Da Man
How much do you value Pedersen at?
Aamir
More than the £10 million the papers are selling him for!!!
Hughes Da Man
I would be willing to pay up to 17 mil for him. Although, I admit I payed 83 mil for him in Championship Manager!
Aamir
If ANYONE offered £17 million then as unpopular as it might be to other I'd want Rovers to take it I must admit. £83 million, you must REALLY have wanted him lol!
Hughes Da Man
He played for Southampton in the game and they just refused to accept!
Aamir
Typical Southerners:)
Aamir
typical southerners here your right!!!! No-one will be leaving of that I am sure as Rovers dont need to let anyone go! Maybe a few youngsters out on loan maybe Da Vita and Taylor???
MikeyGamst
I have a feeling that Taylor's time is probably up?!?! I hope not, but he's bee touted around for years now, and still he is (or at least seems not to be) anywhere near the first team. De Vita going out on loan might be a good thing, but to a decent team.
