A Midfielder For Rovers Please!!!

Vital Blackburn's most recent poll, suggested by MikeyGamst asked "Will we sign anyone else before the end of the transfer window?" Maybe not, but most still want another Midfielder.

Rovers manager Mark Hughes and chairman John Williams have both this week said that no further arrivals are expected before the transfer window closes on Friday, but should anyone arrive after all the vast majority (52%) would like it to be a central midfielder.

33% have accepted that Hughes and Williams have made up their mind so have come to terms with it, and believe that that will be it until January, which could be a better time to wait for with possibly some extra funds available.

Completing the poll, 15% would still like to see that specialist right-back arrive.

So in summary
Yes, a centre midfielder - 52%
Yes, a right back - 15%
No, we're done - 33%

Following Rovers' 1-1 away draw at Everton the current poll is asking, "Rovers Man of the Match vs. Everton"

I don't think Rovers will sign anyone else this week (as they have said) but as the poll showed a midfielder would still be beneficial, but we can wait until the New Year I guess!!!

it could be too late then mate!

I think Dunny is going to be the difference this year, so long as he stays fit.

January will soon be here, so as long as injuries don't cripple Rovers this season January will not be too late. Agree dude, Dunny looks like he is getting sharper all the time and is REALLY stepping up to the plate when he has been asked. We just have to PRAY that he stays fit.

I think you're wrong. I don't think we NEED a new midfielder. A cover for left back is what we need. However, that wasn't an option. Not a well thought out poll, eh! :-)
Decimus Poole
NO ONE has been asking for cover at left-back though dude, it has been all "we need a new right-back desperatly" all summer long, the thought that we need left-back cover has ONLY just come about!!!
Hughes Da Man
I was just jesting HDM. The left back situation has slipped through the net. However, I am sure Sparky has not let it, and is on the case...
Decimus Poole
Berner will soon be back, I know it wont be until next year (but that will soon be here) until them Olsson could step in if needed, although I'm sure Sparky would rather he didn't have to. We'll be fine at left-back, all being well Stevie W can play right through anyway.

I do think we need someone in the midfield, we have hugely talented kids in the reserves but yet untryed in the Premier league. Treacy is supposed to come through this yr and we have Peter. In the middle we have Tugay, Mokeona to come in for Savage and Dunn and I supose Oojier can as well but still think we are lite weight there. Rite back is somewhere that if we lose Emerton for a time then we lose him as a midfielder as well. Leftback is a prob at the min witb Berner out but both these 2 areas allow Nolan and Taylor to finally get in the team should anything happen to the 1st team players
Clint
Olsson is a good option to have a left back, young quick and will keep Stephen on his toes...
