Need Some Tips For The Weekend???

This weekend has thrown up some very competitive fixtures and MikeyGamst is here with some tips as to where your money may be best placed this weekend.

Arsenal v Man City

Arsenal are very slow starters at the Emirates and they normally start to dominate around the hour mark where as Sven's boys have got off to a flyer. Get some money on the game to be tied at half time. Sky Bet have got that outcome on at 7/5. Mikey Rating 4 Stars

Aston Villa v Fulham

Villa have had a difficult start but expect them to notch up their first win against an unlucky Fulham side that is notoriously cagey away from Craven Cottage. John Carew will be high in confidence after his mid week exploits for Norway so a bet on him to be first goalscorer is worth a dabble.

John Carew first goal 7/1 with bet365. Mikey Rating 2 Stars

Birmingham v Derby

Despite a bright start Derby have looked like a defence that will leak goals, particularly against open attacking teams away from home. Get on Sebastien Larsson to open his account with an anytime goalscorer bet widely available but best priced at 12/1 on Bet365. Mikey Rating 2 Stars

Bolton v Reading

Bolton have made a disastorous start where as Reading have come through a tough bout opening fixtures smelling of roses and are ignoring the dreaded second season syndrome. All signs point to a low scoring encounter but a Reading win.

2 goals or less is available at evens on sky bet. Mikey Rating 4 stars

Shane Long to score first is 8/1 on william hill.com. Mikey Rating 3 stars

Everton v Blackburn

Both have strong defences and powerful midfield's so expect bookings. Also expect a relatively low scoring encounter with either a draw or a win by a single goal. A good bet for last scorer is of course Blackburn Rovers' Matt Derbyshire who always makes a killing when coming on as sub.

1-1 draw is a 6/1 bet on totesport. Mikey Rating 2 stars

Matt Derbyshire last goalscorer is 10/1 with bet direct. Mikey Rating 4 Stars

Sunderland v Liverpool

Sunderland have been feisty and competitve so far (as you would expect by any team managed by Roy Keane) but they will find a Liverpool team that were so unlucky against Chelsea a bridge to far.

Get on Liverpool to be ahead at half time and full time at 13/8 with Coral. Mikey Rating 5 Stars

West Ham v Wigan

Wigan have defied many to have a good start to the league but a trip to the Hammers is always a tough one. I tip West Ham to come out on top 2-0 here and that is a fai bet for a Hammers team that needs to act quickly this season to ensure that a repeat of last year is avoided. Wigan on the other hand will struggle away from home this year.

West Ham 2 - 0 Wigan is 8/1 on sky bet. Mikey Rating 3 Stars.

Arsenal v City will be a draw; Villa v Fulham - Home win; Brum v Derby - score draw, Forsell first scorer; Bolton v Reading - Away win, Doyle with 2 goals; Everton v Blackburn - Hate to say it, home win 1-0; Sunderland v Liverpool - Score draw...It entertains me to hear the Scouser whine! They will be a dodgy decision against Liverpool. Nosworthy handball that goes unnoticed...; West Ham v Wigan - West Hams bubble to burst (you like that...I know you do!), Wigan to go marching on - Sibierski to get amoung the goals again...

I made the above predictions based on my own gut feeling. No form guide was perused.
