'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Matty On Target Again.....

Well he may not be there in terms of ability just yet but if he keeps on scoring both at club level and at Under 21 level... how long can Steve 'I only pick from fashionable clubs' McClaren ignore him?

Yet again last night he showed his predator instinct to put England into the lead from 12 yards and generally had a terrific game next to the impressive Gabriel Agbonlahor from Aston Villa.

He has attributes which McClaren needs, pace, power, heading ability, ability to run the channels, and a knack of being in the right place at the right time.

He may not have enough experience to stake a regular place right now but if he keeps playing how he is doing then sooner or later a call up will come along.

He will leave clueless Steve with no choice.

Revenge is sweet for you Mikey lol. You've done me again, I wrote something on this (along with my article I've just added) but you beat me to it, touche!

GET IN THERE!!! We all know my thoughts on Derbs, this is just another step for him along the road to a VERY bright future for both Rovers AND England.
Hughes Da Man
unlucky HDM... its 1-1 for those keeping score guys. I'm on a mission!!!! lol
MikeyGamst
just found a cracking article... http://www.sportingo.com/football/is_matt_derbyshire_an_england/1001,4513 have a read, well worth it.
MikeyGamst
yes people its link day... lol.... checked this one out under the "Arsenal bit" http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8751_2678399,00.html
MikeyGamst
It most certainly is 1-1, game on lol!
Wow, I'm not used to seeing Rovers being given credit, some of it still wound me up a little but on the whole it was very complimentary wasn't it. Derbs WON'T go anywhere though will he, he's Rovers through and through, so unless he has no other option he'll go nowhere will he.
Hughes Da Man
I may have to look art football365 more often, I think that guy basically summed up EXACTLY whaty most of us have said recently!
Good links dude.
Hughes Da Man
good call HDM... unless he is pushed he wont pull.
MikeyGamst
I just love the guy. However, it seems to me that his influence on the game is way bigger as a subtitute isn't it?
IsraeliRover
it does eem that way but no-one complains when he starts as his energy is just fantastic!!!
