Rovers Season Tickets Up 15%

Here's the latest press release from Ewood Park (below) on the increase in season tickets for Blackburn Rovers.

SEASON TICKET SALES UP 15% AT BLACKBURN AS FANS BACK PRICE REDUCTIONS

Season ticket sales at Blackburn Rovers have risen 15 per cent as the club prepare to kick off their home Premier League campaign against Arsenal on Sunday.

Club officials say more than 14,500 fans have now bought season tickets after the club cut the average cost of an adult season ticket by 25 per cent.

Rovers have used around £1 million of extra revenue generated by the new television deal to pass on savings to supporters in the form of reduced prices.

The cheapest season ticket is £249, the lowest in the Premier League, while the most expensive is £399. Junior season tickets cost just £99.

Simon Williams, Head of Commercial and Marketing at Blackburn, said: "We listened to the concerns of our supporters regarding the cost of watching football and made a bold decision to reduce prices and we are very pleased with the response.

"Our supporters have realised the great value we are now offering to watch Premier League football at Ewood Park.

"We believe the best way to enjoy football is watching the action live inside Ewood and we hope that those who haven't bought season tickets take advantage of reduced matchday prices during the season.

"The Premier League is one of the strongest in the world and our new price structure takes into account the concerns of supporters about cost while doing our best to remain competitive on the pitch."
