Rovers Will Win NOTHING In 07-08

Vital Blackburn's most recent poll, suggested by Hughes Da Man asked, "What (if anything) do Rovers have the best chance of winning this season?" NOTHING!!!

Not by a lot (but a few percent) 34% think that Blackburn Rovers will not win anything this season. Maybe not a surprise is it, as we have to be realistic I guess?!?! This was closely followed by the trophy that most think Rovers could win this season, the UEFA Cup (my personal pick!!!) with 32%.

Rovers have a good recent history in the League Cup (winning it in 2002) so domestically 18% think that the Carling Cup could be the most likely trophy won this season. After this came the VERY OPTIMISTIC 9% who voted that Rovers could even win the Title, come on guys this ISN'T going to happen is it!!! Last season Rovers made the Semi Final's of the FA Cup, but with the 7% to conclude the poll this is the thing that is LEAST likely to be won this season, apparently!!!

So in summary
Premiership - 9%
Carling Cup -18 %
FA Cup - 7%
UEFA Cup - 32%
Nothing - 34%

With the first match of the season gone we can bring back our Man of the Match polls, so the current one is asking, "Rovers Man of the Match verses Middlesbrough?"

We may think HOW DARE THEY, but realistically Rovers wouldn't be that favoured to win any of the competitions they are in would they, obviously this DOESN'T mean it won't happen though!!!
Personally it's still the UEFA Cup for me though dudes!

I think we have a great chance in one of the cups. We have already seen our abilities as a cup side and fancy us, with the blessing of a bit of luck, to go all the way in one this season. Craling Cup for me although UEFA (should we qualify) is a good shout.

Sparky WILL be full on in ALL the Cups this season, and WHY shouldn't he. It may be a tad optimistic but if Rovers applied themselves they COULD do a clean sweap of ALL the Cups (with some lack as well of course!!!)

Don't think you'll win the UEFA cup but probably have a decent run, there's other teams in the competition who are a lot better than you. Wouldn't bet against Rovers having a good domestic cup run. Hughes seems to have made another good signing in Cruz. Great strike from Derbyshire yesterday, hopefully a prospect for England too.

Poll voters got two answers the wrong way round. "Premiership 9% FA Cup 7%" No, it will be hard to regain a top 6 spot in the premiership again this season, never mind becoming Champions again. With the luck of the draw in the Cups, even the FA Cup is a distinct possability. Of course our aim has to be Champions again one year soon but we need a couple of better first teamers and better quality in reserve (four yellows in the first match is not a good start but at least it may bring some of the young accadamy stars a chance)
