Professionalism Pleases Hughes

Blackburn Rovers Manager Mark Hughes has praised the professionalism of his players after the Intertoto Cup victory over VK Vetra on Saturday, which took Rovers a step closer to the UEFA Cup proper this season.

The 4-0 win over Vetra at Ewood Park completed a 6-0 aggregate victory in the Intertoto Cup Third Round, and saw Rovers into the draw for the UEFA Cup Second Qualification Round (this draw takes place on Friday) much to Hughes' delight, with his praising at a job professionally done.

Hughes told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website:

"We are very pleased, obviously once the first goal went in that was effectively the tie over.

"And obviously once the guy got sent off it was game over from our point of view.

"But when you are in that situation you want to make sure that you get the job professionally done, and I thought in the second half we used it to great effect, we were able to get a good workout, score a number of goals and finished it off in the right way so we are delighted with the day
."

Sparky ALWAYS ensures that Rovers approach each game professionally, as if we don't we are made to pay for this. He WILL NOT tolerate anything less, which is the way it should be, and IS the reason for much of his success.
It was ALWAYS likely that we would finish the job off yesterday, and so we did with a comfortable 4-0 win, and now we can look forward to Friday's draw!

Yeah nice to see four goals as well and sounds as if MGP had a good game got more involved than usual. Lets hope that is a sign of things to come!!! Bring on the new season i think Bolton could be relegated this season with out big Sam in charge, becasue that team was built around him adn his style.

Let's hope so dude.
I've had a similar feeling about Bolton, and think so did Fat Sam, hence his jumping ship while he could. But I don't think they'll go down but probably will struggle.

It was all over after the Pedersen header in the first half. They had a bit of spirit Vetra but lacked that final bit of class and I think that showed through.
