Cardiff Not Interested In Jeffers

Another possible route away form Ewood Park for Blackburn Rovers striker Francis Jeffers has been blocked with Cardiff City Chairman Peter Ridsdale denying an interest.

Jeffers' wage demands ended the chance of a move to Championship side Ipswich Town recently, and rumour had it fellow Championship side Cardiff might make a move for the former England International now?!?!

However, it is looking as though another possible route away from Ewood would be narrowed right away due to his demands (which probably would see a move to Cardiff unlikely anyway?) although Ridsdale has denied the club where even after him!

Ridsdale told the BBC (well the quotes are on the BBC Website, but I am not sure they are direct to them?):

"It's reported in the papers that we're now about to sign Francis Jeffers and that's nonsense.

"We're being linked with just about everybody now that we've sold Chopra
."

Meanwhile James Beattie (who is again been touted with a move to Rovers) will probably not be going anywhere, let alone returning to Ewood after the price Everton placed on his head!

£2.5 million had been quoted over the weekend, but today it is suggested Everton Manager David Moyes has slapped a WHOPPING £4 million sign round his neck, so a move anywhere is unlikely now!!!

It is looking MORE and MORE likely that Jeffers will stay here, and although not everyone is happy I don't really mind either way, although I still personally think he would have been best off going to Ipswich!!!
James Beattie and the amount of £4 million DO NOT belong in the same sentence, that is RIDICULOUS money that SURELY no one will pay?!?! Although there is talk that JR plus cash might be offered for Beats, surely not?!?!

We need to get rid of Jeffers while we can still get money for him! and JR is better than Beattie so why would we offer JR and money for him?
Derbyshire4England
For Jeffers' sake, and playing regularly I think he should go, for our sake I'm not overly concerned that he should. If he was not wanted in the slightest he would not be here would he???
JR and cash for Beattie is just paper *****e really isn't it dude, surely this WON'T happen?!?!

I don't like the sound of this guys. Beattie to Blackburn would not be a good move, and IF we do move for a striker, we need someone a bit more prolific. If Hughes did enquire about him, then I hope when he was given the valuation he told Moyes where to go. As far as Jeffers goes, I think we all agre that it doesn't really make a difference whether he stays or not does it. Hes on low wages so it isn't much of a burden on the clubs finances, but for his own sake, he needs to look giving himself a career boost by getting regular 1st team football, and I dont think Sparky has any intention to do this.

Do NOT accept Beattie in exchange for Roberts... what a ridiculous thing to do. This will not happen.
MikeyGamst
to put it bluntly, jeffers is probably better than Beattie!
Derbyshire4England
That may be pushing it a little too far, but he isn't far better LOL!
Hughes Da Man
Woah, steady Derbyshire4England... lol
