Best Rovers starting back four?" Warnock, Nelsen, Samba & Emerton" />
Vital Blackburn's most recent poll, inspired by Clint, suggested by the VBers (Vital Blackburners) asked, "Best Rovers starting back four?" Warnock, Nelsen, Samba & Emerton are the winners.
With almost half of the vote, 48%, it is believed that a back four of Stephen Warnock, Ryan "God" Nelsen, Christopher "The Wall" Samba and Brett Emerton (the back from the second half of last season) should be the way Rovers go again this term, even with the return from injury of Andre Ooijer.
Ooijer returning sees around a third of the vote, 32%, preferring the same back four but with the Dutch International coming in for Emerton (as well as Emerton did last season this is personally the defence I would like, and think we may well get?!?!)
The prospect of a new right-back arriving has been something MANY have been lobbying for all summer, so 17% would prefer to see the usual suspects plus a new right-back, with the final 3% wanting to see a different combination altogether!!! (Quite who that would be I'm not sure?!?!)
So in summary
Warnock, Nelsen, Samba & Emerton - 48%
Warnock, Nelsen, Samba & Ooijer - 32%
Warnock, Nelsen, Samba & a NEW right-back - 17%
Completely different combination - 3%
Having also asked for your input on what we feel should be the starting midfield quartet this season, this is next put to the vote, so the current poll is asking, "Best Rovers starting midfield four?"
As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings…

As it is at present, I still personally think Ooijer WILL start ahead of Emerton, especially in away game, as this will add a greater strength at that back even if it would limit our attacking options slightly, but more often than not NO team go all out attack when they are away do they.
