Blackburn To Move For Camara.

Rovers chief Mark Hughes is set to make a move for Wigan striker Henri Camara, according to the players agent.

The Senegal striker is deemed surplus to requirements at Wigan despite being a pacy forward who can finish... because apparently Wigan have loads of those... Heskey anyone??

Blackburn could pick him up for a reasonable price and despite this being mere specualtion at this point, Rovers have made contact.

His agent in Africa, Mamadou Cherif, said: 'I have been in contact with Portsmouth and Blackburn,' he told the L'Observateur website in Senegal.
'There is one club who have made an offer which is Fulham, but Wigan haven't responded and it doesn't please us much either. I am working on two trails: Portsmouth and Blackburn.'

I for one would be delighted to have Henri here as he has shown he can do it and I know Hughes could get the best out of him. But he must keep his notorious attitude in check... if he is to be a success.

If he does it is the final nail in the coffin of Shabani Nonda's move to Ewood.

we have to remember that Camara is a much an attacking midfielder rather than an out and out striker... or at least that what i think, more in the line of Rooney rather than Gerrard. Brining him in would give us more options if we wanted to play a 4411 rather than the typcial 442. This lad is a great talent and would fit in superbly with Benni etc all.

Good point dude, if Sparky opts for the lone striker (away against the likes of Manure, Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverfool etc.) Camara could prove the ideal man to drop off the front man, didn't really think of it that way.
The costs involved could prove a problem then? Is he a £3 million plus good enough alternative??? He is 30-years-old also isn't he?!?!

We need to look at a younger age bracket I think. Camara may be talented but I dont feel he has the mentality to be a hit at Ewood. Time will tell, Sparky knows best!

I would prefer Camara as he is less likely to come for the money!!!! And would cost less. And he has great pace which is something we lacked until Jason came back last year.

A great player in my opinion, but rumours say he's having some hard time adapting to England (family wise)?!??

Blackburn Confirm Caddis Arrival

Caddis, who left Bury at the end of a short deal, was given his chance due to his previous with Blackburn boss Mowbray at Celtic. But the ex-Birmingham full back has secured a deal.

Samuel Signing Sealed

Blackburn have signed Reading forward Dominic Samuel, who once worked with Mowbray at Coventry - also loaned to Colchester, Dagenham and Gillingham, ending last season at Ipswich.

Just Saying, But What If....

Blackburn will do well under the boss. However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn't secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray?

Caddis At The Double

Caddis has now spent the past three weeks with Blackburn, joining the club in Austria last week, and Mowbray, his boss at Celtic earlier in his career, is close to making his decision.
