Bellers Deal Not QUITE Complete

Bellers Deal Not QUITE Complete

Craig Bellamy HAS agreed terms with West Ham United but a deal HASN'T been completed just yet! So could Blackburn Rovers still nip in and get him?

27-year-old Welsh International Bellamy has agreed a £7.5 million move from Liverpool to West Ham and passed a medical but an issue with Bellamy and Liverpool is holding up his move; but this should come too late for Rovers to mount a late charge, surely?!?!

The Official West Ham United Website (www.whufc.com) said:

"Following comments attributed to Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez today, West Ham United would like to make it clear that Craig Bellamy has not yet completed a move to Upton Park.

"The deal has been delayed due to a private contractual issue between Craig Bellamy and Liverpool, which must be resolved before any transfer can be completed.

"The player is due to meet with Liverpool on Monday morning, and we expect to complete the transfer soon after
."

Personally I have never been fully for a Bellers return, but nor have I been fully against it. However, for £7.5 million that would not have been too bad really would it?!?!
It is too late though surely, the Hammered look CERTAIN to get him now???

I reckon it is all sorted but Hughes has doen this before hasn't he. Similarities could be drawn with the Dunn deal!?!? I doubt we will move for him though but that hold up could be us!

roversman - You never know dude?!?!
Pking - That's true, he is leaving for more than we got for him when we sold him, but he only went so cheaply at the time due to a contract clause didn't he, without that Liverpool would have either not got him or would have paid a HELL of a lot more.
I wanted him back if the price was right, and £7.5 million would not have been that bad.

let's not get our hopes but - if we were willing to match WH's offer then perhaps he would have already been on his way here. I just see it happening and if Benni stays do we need both of them?

I wouldn't want us to offer 70k oer week wages - that is ridiculous. I think paying a playing like Bellers that sort of money will only make him more arrogant. Time to move on to a another target.

Paying more than we sold him for, when he hasn't played/done anything to warrant a higher transfer fee, would be bad business. I wouldn't object to his pace/arrogance in the forward line, and I could see him and McCarthy working well. Defences would play deep, which would mean McCarthy would be onside most of the time, and 15-20 goals each wouldn't be out of the question. But as I said in the opening statement, buying someone for more money than we sold him, would be bad business.

IT is over. Bellamy will go to West Ham. Its a case of missing out but I am sure old Sparky has something up his sleeve. I dont think we could afford £70,00 wages though!!!!

Our loss was when he went. Once he had left there was no good to be gained by him coming back. It seldom works that way.
