No Acceptable Offers For Todd (Yet!)

Blackburn Rovers defender Andy Todd has held talks with clubs but Rovers are still to receive an acceptable offer.

Derby County, West Bromwich Albion and Glasgow Rangers (again) are all believed to be interested in Todd, and talks with Derby have taken place but still no acceptable offer has been received for the former Rovers skipper.

Todd (much like Francis Jeffers) is very much on the outside of the picture at Ewood Park, and as we all know has been told he can leave. However, with Rovers being in the position where they DON'T HAVE to sell ANYONE, even though the players have little or no future at Ewood, until bids match what we want they will go nowhere:

"I've had dialogue with a club but we haven't received an offer we can accept as yet," said Rovers Chairman John Williams in the Lancashire Telegraph.

Most of us think that an offer of £700,000, maybe even £500,000 is more than enough, but Rovers will stick by their guns and unless they receive and offer THEY want they will not back down (even if some of us maybe feel they should at times?!?!)

Clubs always like to test the water with a low bid its just natural but if we stick to our guns we will get an acceptable offer. Especially with a number of clubs interested.

Mikey's right the saga will be dragged out to the lats minute, with each club trying to outwit and blag the other into an early move... With reports of other clubs coming in for Todd, as with Frannie then that all helps our cause. The problem however is Peter Harrison and the c**p that he spouts in the media... he was Judas Neill's agent too!

Does anyone actually know what happened to Toddy and why it looks inevitable that he is going. For me he is better than The Monk and would be decent cover. Lets not forget that he was superb for us the season before last. Was there a bust up??

Toddy is just too slow now, we've move on from his overly physical style of play, and for me he just isn't good enough anymore. He'll run into a brick wall if the team benefits but in fairness to him, as much as anything it is time for him to go.
I may be wrong (and the writing may have already been on the wall?) but didn't he throw the captains armband on the floor at Sparky when he took him off against Birmingham towards the end of the 2005-2006 season?!?!
