The Semi Raised The Roof

Vital Blackburn`s most recent poll, suggested by letsalldothesamba
asked, " Atmosphere of the Season?" The winner was the epic F A Cup semi-final showdown with Jose Mourinho`s Chelsea. Old Trafford was buzzing that day as both sides engaged in a pulsating encounter that could have been won quite comfortably by either side. The Rovers faithful will be hoping for many more grand occasions such as that over the coming years.

So in summary
Old Trafford vs Chelsea (FA Cup) - 52%
JJB vs Wigan - 3%
Ewood vs Arsenal (FA Cup) - 17%
Ewood vs Liverpool - 17%
Ewood vs Leverkusen - 1%
Feyenoord Stadion vs Feyenoord - 6%
Other - 4%

As the search for the Greatest Ever Rovers Starting XI continues, we select two strikers from the four in the squad, so the current poll is asking, " Greatest Ever Rovers XI - Forwards (Top Two get in!)" Make your votes count, but vote WISELY!

It was a great day and the atmosphere was awesome. Personally I was voting for the Liverpool game on Boxing Day. It was great. There was that magnetism around Ewood that had been missing for so many years. I think it is that verfent excitement and anticipation that something big is about to happen, which is the feeling at the moment wouldn't you say?

It Certinly was a great day out - I (Incrediably) bunped into two two old mates that I have seen in years. The first was an Rovers fan who I saw at Ramsgreave and Wilpshire Train Station... The last time I saw him was in Cardiff at the earlier FA Cup Semi! The second "old friend" was a Chelsea fan that saw me through the crowds outside the off-licence at the top of Sir Matt Busby way - the last time I saw him was about 7 years ago (I was in a lingerie shop buying the wife's birthday pressie! before anyone doubts my intentions!)... I have to say - I thought the raport with the Chelski fans that day was great... One even had the cheek to say we had a lot in common in that boht our clubs "bought" the premiership title... I naturally reminded him that at least our Jack was a life long supporter and not a rich oil mafia billionaire wanting to launder some cash!

roversman - unfortunately i missed the Liverpool game as I was in Spain for the Christmas Holiday... I still got 4 phone calls from gloating mates telling me I had missed the best home game of the season!

It was a special atmosphere that day. It really felt like we were the 12th man, which is something that has been lacking at Ewood in recent years if we're honest. Hopefully, due to the price scheme next season we will see more crowds like that.

Definitely the best atmosphere I have ever witnessed. It was fantastic to be part of it and a proud day to be a Rovers fan. One step further next year and we can win it!

I was there and my lord we raise the roof as we know we can but we don't do enough! Chelsea fans were a none factor. Incredible effort by the team as well....

True we need to see more of these performances from the fans this season don't we? We need to make Ewood an intimidating fortress once more, a place where you turn up to knowing you are going to lose!

Bit like what happens at the Nou Camp only instead of Messi its aaron Mokoena!!!
