Peter Harrison: Todd a Wanted Man

Peter Harrison: Todd a Wanted Man

Blackburn Rovers defender, and former skipper Andy Todd is a man in demand according to his agent Peter Harrison.

Todd has been a dead man walking at Rovers for the best part of a year now, maybe more!!! He has been set for move after move (according to Harrison) in the past but nothing has come off but Harrison is adamant that Derby County and West Bromwich Albion are very much interested and could pay a fee of around £700,000.

Speaking in the Birmingham Mail Peter Harrison said:

"West Brom have shown an interest and there have been talks held but that's as far as it's gone.

"He's keen to leave. We are in discussion with a number of clubs, with Albion and Derby among those keen.

"It's still too early to say where Andy will end up but hopefully something will be resolved soon
."

Meanwhile it has been alledged that Rovers rejected a bid from Fulham for striker Jason Roberts today.

Talk in the media is of a bid of £2.5 million for the striker (there is an article about this on Vital Fulham, so join the debate about this on their site also by clicking here) who struggled for most of last season with injuries, and then had a battle to regain his place, but when he did he started to show just what he can do.

Rovers boss Mark Hughes is very keen to keep hold of Roberts but an improved bid might force his hand?!?!

Peter Harrison just loves running his mouth off doesn't he!!! Toddy will go, and if we can get £700,000 that we be OK with me.
JR isn't a player that everyone likes (but I do and we ALL know it LOL!) but I hope we keep hold of him as he has A LOT to offer this club.

£2.5 for JR? Keep on dreaming Fulham. JR will be a key player this season. Harrison on the other hand is a nutter. We should sell Todd at that price. So many defenders above him, and I'd prefer to see what Bruno Berner looks like before the return of the Todd.

When all is said and done £2.5 million is not that bad a price for JR but I'm one of his biggest fans so I wouldn't want him sold for double the amount let alone what was offered.
He certainly will be a key player and CAN play alongside almost anyone, and they'll benefit from this.

I think if we recieve a bid of £700,000 we should of broke even on the player which is fair play. and then maybe Franny may go??!?!

In fairness to Toddy he's basically paid for himself when he's been here hasn't he, what with all the money that has come out of his wages for cards he's picked up LOL! Nah, seriously we've got our monies worth from him, so if we get £500,000 or as much as £700,000 it's a bonus.

£700,000 for Todd is decent enough to get him of the wage bill at Rovers and finally get rid of Harrison!!! £2.5m is a joke of an offer from Fulham, Roberts is better than that and they know it, cheeky gets lol, but thats wot u get from a NI manager lol

good call Clint, Roberts is worth 5 million in my eyes, others may feel otherwise, but the world is my oyster and I am in one of those moods today.
