Vital Blackburn Forum Taking Off!

Vital Blackburn seems to have really taken off, but what is even more enjoyable though is the fact that it seems to be ALL areas of the site and not just certain ones!

The main page articles section (this section) has taken off unquestionably, with comment after comment often made on articles, but the most enjoyable thing for me is the fact that ALL areas are now being fully utilised (and this includes poll suggestions being made, the latest of which has JUST came through from a newly registered VBer!)

The Vital Blackburn Forum in particular is really taking off (the blue Vital Blackburn Forum bit is a link, so a hint to click on it and check it out if you haven't already!) with MANY members now starting threads to get discussions on things THEY want to talk about talked about, not just things they may have to talk about as a result of what is published, with VBer (Vital Blackburner to clarify!) after VBer also getting involved in these debates.

So KEEP starting your own threads in the forum people, and keep discussing within them!!! This is YOUR site, so make the most of it.

However (you often get a but!) one slight thing that has started to happen (and I am as guilty as anyone, probably more so) has seen many comments on articles move way, way off the topic in question… I am more than happy, and love to see comments (and these numbers increasing ALL the time!) constantly added to articles but feel that maybe some would be better suited to the forum?

This is not a command being handed down by Hughes Da Man that all must obey, merely a suggestion (and one that I will take on board myself) as maybe sometimes with some comments so far off topic the work that goes into producing articles can sometimes be lost if they aren't actually debated about in the comments below… So like I say maybe some comments would be better placed within the forum to continue that side of Vital Blackburn's growth also?!?!

Your Comments

Let's make sure we continue to use the Vital Blackburn Forum (click here) to talk about WHATEVER we want WHENEVER we want.
As for the comments in this section (below articles) I am not trying to make this site "regimental" or "not fun" but like I say maybe sometimes (and again I stress I am more than guilty!) maybe some of our comments detract from the articles so maybe could be better used in the forum?!?! Just a thought.
Hughes Da Man
OT but....LMAO just pulling ya plonker!!!!
BomBom
The key message of this article is to get the FORUM fully recognised to EVERYONE, and make sure it is being used as it could be. But it is true that at times articles are forgotten with comments that can be made. Obviously we go onto other things and have a laugh but occasionally we go TOTALLY of the subject from the very beginning (and like I say I'm JUST as bad, if not worse) which to me makes the work that goes into producing work (mine, yours, MikeyGamst's or roversman's) a little wasted, know what I mean?!?!
Hughes Da Man
See what your saying mate. But as long as people enjoy themselves then that is the main thing.
MikeyGamst
I agree mate, but if people want to talk about pandapop and sheep and australian ancestoral history, let them, they are talking on the comments and that IMO is more important but i do take your point fella!
BomBom
Totally guys, I see what you are both saying and do agree but as I say sometimes (NOT OFTEN though I have to stress, which maybe I could have in the article?!?!) comments begin off tiopic and remain off topic so you can almost think "was it even worth writing what was written" (for whoever wrote it, as generally a lot of thought and care goes into what we write I am sure, although some of my work has become sloppy or even rushed recently I admit) I DON'T want people to think this site is regimental or overly serious and the are NOT ALLOWED to go off topic now (as please do!!!) as it isn't the case, and I want it to be as much fun as it is (and more) but the FORUM could be the ideal place for some of this fun too, which is the point I am really looking to make.
Hughes Da Man
the panda pops conversation was crucial to the existence of mankind of that we can be sure...
MikeyGamst
Certainly, panda pops NEED to be on everyone's mind, they are stuff of legend (even if they are still overpriced these days in my opinion lol!)
Right people FORGET the part in this article about going off topic (within reason lol!) the MAIN point was to highlight MAXIMUM usage of the forum, so GET to it!!! Use the forum until your eyes bleed as you can't look at the screen anymore lol!
Hughes Da Man
No I see what HDM is saying. These stories and articles are designed to spawn conversation and whatever that conversation may be, alas sometimes drifting off topic too much can detract from the original work.
