Transfer speculation is rife this time of year (and often involving talk of Blackburn Rovers players leaving!) this continues with news one Rover is inching closer to the exit gates.
Most Rovers footballers being linked with moves away are players that you would HATE to see leave, others are being linked with moves because they have been told they can go.
One such man that has been told he can go is Andy Todd (as much as I like the guy I would be lying if I said he was one of these that I would hate to see leave) and a reported switch to Championship outfit Coventry City is moving closer, perhaps?!?!
Former Rovers goalkeeper (and legend!) Tim Flowers, now Coventry's Assistant Manager is hoping the club can soon secure the transfer of a mystery Premiership footballer. This footballer sounds suspiciously like it could be former Rovers skipper Todd!
Flowers told the Coventry Telegraph:
"We have got a No.1 target and we have met with his agent and it all sounded positive.
"He is a player of great calibre and has got one or two Premier League clubs looking at him but I have spoken to him myself and he is a good honest lad and says he will ring me as soon as he knows what's happening.
"I can't say too much at this stage but from the first day I came through the door at Coventry I threw his name into the equation because he is a very, very good player.
"If he comes, and it is a big 'if', he will bring leadership, organisation and a rugged manliness, and I believe he would be a major coup and signal of our intent."

All in all I think he would be a good signing for Coventry and will be very good at that level, although staying in the Premiership would probably appeal to him more.
He could assure himself of a VERY quick exit (at the risk of ending his own career!) by breaking Bowen's nose or fighting with Bradders in training lol!
