Nice Easy Trip To Middlesbrough!

Blackburn Rovers start the 2007-2008 campaign on the road with a nice easy trip to Middlesbrough!

Without wanting to sound overly confident, or even cocky our season opener against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium holds little fear for me, after all we have done the double over them for the last two seasons.

The first home game is scheduled for Wednesday 15th August 2007 against Aston Villa, but with our continued involvement in the UEFA Cup qualification stages (hopefully) this may need re-arranging so it could turn out that Arsenal's visit a few days later could be our first outing at Ewood Park?

We conclude our season with another away trip; this will take us to St Andrews, home of Birmingham City where Robbie Savage will no doubt get a standing ovationů NOT!!!

Due to the greedy you know what's these days the full fixture list CAN'T be published on Vital Blackburn (I know it's BANG out of order!) but you can see it in full via the official Blackburn Rovers website, simply click here!

So then guys what do we think?!?! Overall I don't think we've got that bum a deal, nice assortment of fixtures with no real run of fixtures against the "big boys!" April looks a tricky month though.

November looks tricky with Fool and Chelski one after the other but apart from that why would we fear anyone!!
Exactly Clint we should fear NO ONE! I would fancy Liverfool, but it's Manure at Old Trafford after isn't it, Chelsea are faced in September and December. I would happily settle for a point with Manure at Old Trafford, but we've done them before, so why not do them again!

Sorry Fool and Utd, i was slabbering about Chelsea to my work mate there lol
I think playing arsenal as quickly as possible is def a good thing.. they always start slowly (we hope!)
Our posts must have crossed as you already corrected yourself :)

Bents4eng - Yeah but so do we, 0-0 draw it is then lol!
Hughes Da Man
Aye mate, im quick lol anyway as I said BRING THEM ALL ON!! and im still on to my deluded mate about Chelsea lol Work can be fun at times
I think we got a good deal out of this... we should hit the ground running with our intertoto starting early.
Suprise suprise at Man Ures opener...
MikeyGamst - Good call dude, pre-season is NOT the same as competitive games is it, our Intertoto Cup games will give us genuine competition with MUST win matches! In theory giving us an edge over others. Pleasing performances will not count for anything will they, as they do in pre-season.
Hughes Da Man
SeasideEssexXile - Who have Manure got, I've not even looked!!!
Hughes Da Man
They've got Reading mate....
United are defending champs, why would any of their fans be worried about where and who they are playing first?? lol Its a bit sucky that the Opening game, Boxing day game and final game of the season are ALL bloody away games tho!!!!
Why is it such a surprise that Manure have got Reading?!?! Have I missed something? Yeah dude it is a pain, but ALL games are away games for you aren't they.
Hughes Da Man
LMAO, A Man United fan living down south! How unusual....

We certainly do Mikey, bring on the Mikey's Mini Rovers Tour 2007-2008!
