'If It's Football, It's Vital'

How About This Then?

This is something that a few of us have maybe attempted during the course of last season, but sadly nothing could really come about. But BomBom has reached out!

This is an open question to ALL of the VBers (Vital Blackburners) but is more specific to UK based members.

Would anyone be interested in maybe getting a get together arranged for maybe the first game of the new season, maybe a BBQ or summat.

Just thought that I would throw the idea out there.

For all the overseas VBers, feel free to contribute and if we can get something organised, if you can arrange the travel, I'm sure someone here could offer a bed for the weekend!

THIS ARTICLE WAS WRITTEN AND SUBMITTED (firstly in the forum) BY BOMBOM.

I personally think that this could be a cracking idea, discuss further below or in the forum thread by clicking here.

Firstly the term VBers is superb isn't it, yet another of BomBom's little gems!

As I say I personally think that this could be a cracking idea (and I am sure MANY will agree) and if possible it would be superb to sort something. The first game of the season sounds good, or we could look for maybe a pre-season game, the Intertoto Cup tie ideally!?!? From a personal point of view I can't promise a show myself, but I'll try.
Hughes Da Man
I think you guys should organise this for the intertoto cup tie. It would be a new experience and i hope as many of you can get together for this idea. Im sure if Brett Emerton can make his 60km hike to ewood park from where he lives, the rest of you can make it
sasman
Emerton gets paid a lot more money than we do though sasman :) so it's a tad easier for him lol!
Hughes Da Man
You can put my name down for it!
roversman
Party at roversmans then lol! I think that MANY from Vital Blackburn could well form some meet up, and it would be great meet up at that I am certain!
Hughes Da Man
duno if id come but a good idea nevertheless.

Well the general idea was that we could maybe attend a pre season curtain raiser or the home leg of the inter 2 bob cup. I will definitely come if someone could offer me a sofa or a floor for the evening. With the exception of the Aussie lads, no one has an excuse really as i will have to drive 3 and a half hours to get there and if i can do that, anyone can make it!
BomBom
I have to disagree (again lol!) dude as finances, the fact that things have to be prioritised (even the attendance of football matches!), distance of travel, the fact that not all drive anyway etc. are more than valid excuses for people to miss out for me.
Hughes Da Man
I'm in.... tell me where and when.
MikeyGamst
hehehe thanks bombom for understanding, unless of course some1 wants to pay half the planefare, il try to manage the other lol
sasman
What if we all arrange for the first home game of the season??? Set a general meeting place like a pub near the ground and make a day of it??? Ex Ewood (im sure) has a good local pub knowledge and I aint too sloppy either....
MikeyGamst
Opening day is a good day but I still feel the Intertoto Cup (as BomBom suggests) could be a good option, would be far easier (not that getting a seat is often that difficult at Ewood lol!) to get a load of seats together.
Hughes Da Man
If I could pay half the planefare for you sasman I still wouldn't lol! Nah, seriously if I could I would.

Four hour train journey...pfffff nothing. I'll be there, wherever we deem that to be and when! Come on HDM....we can't have the editor not gracing this potentially momentous occasion! Plus we need a photoshoot of the new singings sporting the new kit!
roversman
I'm starting to feel the pressure dude :) I will do my best to make it to where ever and whenever it is.
