Moment of the Season

Moment of the Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2006-2007 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2006-2007 continue to be dished out with the

Moment of the Season

When asked to simply leave the moment, which you feel was the Rovers Moment of the Season most felt…

Matt Derbyshire's first Ewood Park goal should be the Award Winner! So congratulations to Derbyshire on this honour.

There was surprisingly VERY little interest in this category, which surprised me a great deal (as it also did Head Rover Heels, who mentioned so!)

The look in Derbs' eyes ANYTIME he scores a goal is the look of a man doing something that he used to only dream of and something he LOVES doing but the look in his eyes when he scored that first goal at Ewood against Manchester City spoke a thousand words and his celebrations echoed them.

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Technically Derbyshire tied with Benni McCarthy's goal against Arsenal in our FA Cup replay win at Ewood, but with too many ties recently I made a judgment call (and as Derbs is my FAVOURITE I opted for him lol! Seriously though I liked the arguments for him more.) It was a SHAME there weren't more votes on this topic though :(

There has never been a more deserved award. It really is a pleasure to see the guy play and to know he REALLY is one of us (a fan) makes it all the more special.

I've ALWAYS loved the kid (and have made not secret of the fact I do, and ALWAYS make no secret of the fact that I know I make no secret about it lol!) and he'll score AT LEAST 10 goals next season even if this is primarliy from the bench. If he started more than he didn't 15, maybe even 20 is possible.
