Player Most Missed This Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2006-2007 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2006-2007 continue to be dished out with the

MikeyGamst Award for the Player Most Missed this Season

When asked to simply leave the name of the player you feel has been MOST missed this Season (injured or sold) most felt…

Steven Reid should be the Award Winner! So congratulations to Reid for being out injured all season when we needed him!

In a season that saw us miss key players throughout the spine of the side the man who has been missed most has without question been Reidy.

We have missed his midfield input, even though we have seemingly coped quite well but had the Irish Maestro (as calum72 dubbed him!) been available you can't help but wonder what might have been (although you find yourself saying this about every KEY player we missed!)

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Having Reidy back next season will be a MASSIVE boost. When you look at the midfield on paper (if ALL are fit!) there will be fierce competition for places, which will be good for Rovers and should keep people on their toes, I do look forward to the Irish Maestro's return though.

Ireland have missed badly aswell.
Pking
Yeah that is true, mustn't forget how he has been missed by the Irish also!
Hughes Da Man
Lol, the poor irish. Seriously though, it was a huge miss for us, we were always lacking him in central midfield, would of given us an extra option for our premier league and eufa charge
sasman
His versitility to fill on anywhere across the Midfield really was missed, he could have even filled in at right-back if needed.
Hughes Da Man
IRISH MAESTRO???? you taking the pi$$?? hes a decent player but puhlease! IMO he wont immediately get back in the side with a fully fit Sav, Dunn and Tugay available
BomBom
If calum72 wants to give Reidy the "Irish Maestro" tag I'm happy with that, no doubt others don't like some names we dish out but we still use them, so fair's fair BomBom :) Reidy would be back in the team ahead of Dunn for me.
Hughes Da Man
not knocking someone elses name for him, but at least most of my names are in relation to their talent!!! hehe
BomBom
gotta agree with HDM, a fully fit reid would start before dunny for me. Oh i voted for Nonda in this category, he missd a fair bit lol
sasman
Good call sasman. FANTASTIC award name by the way. Reidy has been missed sorely I think... if Reidy is the Irish Maestro does that make Robbie the Welsh Nutter? And Dunny the English Hospital Patient?
MikeyGamst
Lol, you gotta officially christen the award mikey, just like i did with the hairdo award
sasman
I'd have to say that Reid would be in the starting lineup for me as well, he's a great player to have around and carries a better goal threat that the other central midfielders
Clint
Haveto agree dude, it will be VERY interesting to see next season won't it as we'll have sooo many options (all being well!)
