Worst Team Faced this Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2006-2007 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2006-2007 continue to be dished out with the

Worst Team faced by Rovers this Season

When asked to simply leave the name of the team you believe have been the WORST Team faced by Rovers this Season most felt…

Luton Town should be the Award Winner! So congratulations I guess go to Luton for being the best worst team to face us this season.

Rovers beat Luton 4-0 in the FA Cup Fourth Round at a canter really, and although this wasn't really an Award that gained a lot of attention the larger amount voted in favour of Mike Newell's (as they were at the time) Luton.

We didn't really face much of a challenge from Luton but it probably is fair to say they were the worse team we face during 2006-2007.

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Again not a very popular Award but Luton were the most favoured side, so they win! They weren't quite poor, but they weren't very good.

The infamous Luton game, where I did my first Rovers review and where Samba made his debut and the infamous "air shot" from him! Ahhh memories!
BomBom
Happy Days eh BomBom! Seems like only yesterday. That air shot was all part of a cunning plan though wasn't it.
Hughes Da Man
Indeed, we all felt a tad embarrased and giggled, oh how hes put us ALL in our respective places since eh? That air shot was the making of him i reckon!
BomBom
harsh.. they are well below us in the league.. I'd say Everton's cup side beats them hand's down.. or charlton second time round :D
Bents4eng
In the two away games at Watford and the Hammered we saw the two worst oppositions in the Premiership this season - goes to show how bad Rovers were in both games.
Wellsy
When I saw Samba in that game, I thought we had signed a real Turkey. It wasn't just the air-shot. He tried a pass to Emerton 10 yards away and passed straight to the Luton player.
Wellsy
Samba didn't have the best of debut performances did he? Still he has well and truly turned things around! As for Luton, I feel this is a tad unfair. We were brill that day and would have beaten most. The Everton cup side were miserable as were Charlton at Ewood. We even gve them a goal and they couldn't help themselves!
roversman
I have to be honest before I even saw Samba play I thought "what the hell have we signed here!" As he looks like he is a clumsy giant, his first showing backed this up lol! But since then he has gone on to show he is anything but, has a good touch for a big guy (old cliche I know!) and can play the ball around a bit can't he.
Hughes Da Man
Samba IMO was the bargain of the season! I think its a tad harsh on Luton also as they were hardly expected to beat us whereas the Everton cup game, lots of ppl thougth we weren't interested because of our side we picked then proceeded to play them off the park!!!
BomBom
If more people had shown an interest in this Award maybe it wouldn't have been Luton, but the mob (all three or four of us on this topic lol!) spoke and they wanted Luton burnt, so they were (not literally obviously!)
Hughes Da Man
AT LAST, WE'VE WON SOMETHING THIS SEASON, LOL, ANYHOW THANKS LADS FROM EVERYONE AT LUTON TOWN FC...........
monty zumas
monty zumas (revenge!) an Award is an Award isn't it lol! Seriously though you probably (well maybe no probably about it!) weren't the worse, as I say this wasn't a heavily voted on area, had it been Luton wouldn't have won it (I don't really think?) Good luck next season.
Hughes Da Man
To be fair to Luton, any team that has /7 of its best players involuntarily sld will be weaker and we saw that. Luton had a poor team but it wasnt all their fault.

LOL Monty!
