Player Least Missed This Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2006-2007 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2006-2007 continue to be dished out with the

Player least missed this Season

When asked to simply leave the name of the player you feel has been missed this LEAST this Season (injured or sold) most felt…

Dominic Matteo should be the Award Winner! So congratulations I guess go to Dominic Matteo.

I am sure this in not an Award ANY player would want and I do feel for Matteo a little (but he got my vote too so I can't feel for him too much!) but he hasn't been missed in the slightest if we are honest. He has been missed so little that someone even commented that they thought he had already left before he was released to join Stoke City!

His high wages were a thorn in our side so getting him off the wage bill was something we needed to do. Michael Gray and Lucas Neill also got a fair few mentions but not as many as Matteo.

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Unlucky Dom but I'm afraid you are the weakest link!
Hughes Da Man
Lol poor old dom, never got much game time did he, his days were well past him, good luck to the guy, whereever he is
sasman
on another topic, just had a look at the board, good to c a lot of people crack the century aye hughesy, the more points i guess means more and more people are contributing, when i first joined, there where only like 2 people crackin the century
sasman
Dominic is at Stoke now isnt he... he wasn't the best was he but the effort was always there and as long as the effort is there then you at least score some points with me. Unless your name is Shefki Kuqi who was a real hero and will always score maximum points!!!
MikeyGamst
man i still think shefki could of had some role this year, i no we got offered really good money, but he could of worked well with mccarthy whilst roberts was injured, ah well not to be
sasman
Difficult to gain fans when you're a defender. Especially when your manager insists on the fact that you are capable of playing anywhere in defence or midfield (Seriously, what was Souness drinking??) I actually think he was a solid defender and a decent bloke by all accounts, just grossly overpaid and therefore we had to get rid as soon as we could. Hmm, Matteo or Warnock??? Tricky
Head Rover Heels
Matteo wins EVERYTIME Head Rover Heels! Nah, who am I kidding lol!
Hughes Da Man
sasman - Your off the topic point is cool. Yeah it is great to see not just your one, two, three, four, five, six or seven but your EIGHT centurions here (with many double or even treble centurions!) let's keep this up and make it a month after month occurance. I know it is tough but if you can ROVERSMAN and EX EWOOD RESIDENT try your very best in the next couple of days to reach the magic three figures also, what a feat that would be for this site!
Hughes Da Man
On another off topic comment... anyone slightly disputing that we should sign Jason Koumas should watch a tape of the play off final yesterday, he was immense and if he had a half decent stirker to work with then West Brom would be in the Premiership now. Hughesy get on it.
MikeyGamst
Sticking with your off topic thought Mikey I agree Koumas was superb yesterday but I still say that £5 million (the price that WBA apparently want?!?!) is too much, £3 million is probably fairer.
Hughes Da Man
5 million is way too much oh no one is mentioning my aussies, grella bresciano and culina are practically pleading for a premiership club to take them, culina even stating it in a press conference, these guys are quality, especially grella and im sure they would be cheaper then koumas
sasman
If I had any influence over anyone sasman I would bring these guys to someone's attention, you are DESPERATE for them to come to England aren't you :)
