Rovers Howler of the Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2006-2007 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2006-2007 continue to be dished out with the

BomBom Gong for the Howler of the Season

When asked to simply leave the moment, the miss, the goal conceded whatever you feel most deserves the BomBom Gong for the Rovers Howler of the Season most felt…

Shabani Nonda's miss vs. Bayer Leverkusen should be the Award Winner! So congratulations I guess go to Shabani Nonda.

Nonda has missed a few chances this season, and a few simple ones at that and in fairness although not the easiest of chances it was still a guilt edged opportunity. With time virtually up in a crucial UEFA Cup tie with Bayer Leverkusen with us DESPERATE for a goal Nonda found himself through on goal with just the goalkeeper to beat but he made a hash of the chance.

This was run close by Morten Gamst Pedersen's shocking miss against Chelsea in the FA Cup Semi Final. With extra time looming large with the goal gaping, crying out for Gamst to simply nod home he headed agonisingly wide with the scores level at 1-1, we all know what happened after…

MGP's miss against Chelsea was a bad one but Shabani Nonda was the man who got my vote here, maybe if not for the mentioned miss per say. KEEP VOTES COMING IN FOR OTHER AWARDS. This is something that doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

There were so many weren't there - Nonda/MGP's misses, Warnock's clearance header, Ooijers "goal" against City, Roberts proving it is actually possible to miss a ball that is determined to hit your feet and go into an open goal. For overall "oh my god, if only", Nonda's has to be up there, but i'd have been tempted by MGP's myself - Any other day of the week that would have torn the onion bag.
Head Rover Heels
ah that was a shockin miss but i thought benni missed a better chance in that game when gamst put the ball right on his toe only for him to miss it completely and both happened in front of the blackburn end aswell
durks de rover
And there was Nonda thinking he wasnt gonna win an award this year!?!?>!
MikeyGamst
We should all know that MGP wasn't going to get the goal against chelsea... HE NEVER SCORES SIMPLE GOALS... if Bentley hadn;t been there to tap in his 1 yd tap-in miss against Reading then that could have bene a contender!
Ex Ewood Resident
MPG vs reading would have been if bents hadn't been there to tap it in!
Bents4eng
MGP has been sooo lucky to escape with that shocking miss against Reading hasn't he, Bents bailed him out BIG time didn't he. How the **** did MGP miss?!?!
Hughes Da Man
I dont know but maybe he should ask Nonda who is an expert in the field???
MikeyGamst
I'm gonna stick my neck on the line here and say not even Nonda would have missed that!
Hughes Da Man
Lets not be too hasty....
MikeyGamst
Come on, surely! I have complete faith in Nonda and his ability NOT to have missed that?!?!
Hughes Da Man
Hopefully this guy does pick up an award next year, player least missed, after we allow him to leave
