Greatest Ever 23-Man Rovers Squad

For sometime now we've been trying to put together what we feel is the Greatest Ever Blackburn Rovers Squad. This selection has now been finalised.

This squad currently comprises of the following:

Goalkeepers
Terry Gennoe, Tim Flowers & Brad Friedel

Left-backs (or Wing-backs)
William Eckersley & Graeme Le Saux

Centre-backs
Mike England, Derek Fazackerley, Colin Hendry & Ryan Nelsen

Right-backs (or Wing-backs)
Bob Crompton & Keith Newton

Left midfielders (or Wingers)
Damien Duff & Scott Sellers

Central Midfielders
Ronnie Clayton, Jimmy Forrest, Eddie Latheron & Tugay

Right midfielders (or Wingers)
Bryan Douglas & Noel Brotherston

Forwards
Tommy Briggs, Simon Garner, Alan Shearer & Chris Sutton

So what do we do next?
We will select the Greatest XI!

How do we do this?
This, I'm afraid WILL go to the vote, so make it count!

Things can and will change over time
Do remember the squad can and will be changed over time at your request. This is a long running process as hopefully I will be around this site for YEARS to come, as will you?

Selection of the Greatest XI will begin soon, but DON'T forget this squad CAN and WILL change over time, but will only happen with YOUR say so.

Id like to c this at the end of next season, pretty sure bentley will be pushing for the right midfield spot, hopefully derbs will have a cracker, and ah i dont care, hopefully everyone has a cracker of year so they can all push for a spot in the greatest squad of all time

I still think Sutton should be sacked... Never liked him... Arrogant T*****R - Al Shearer made him look good!

sasman - You still can see this at the end of next season as it'll be ON GOING for as long as people wish it to! All people need to do is put forward and arguement for a player or players and the jury will decide :)

Ex Ewood Resident - While I do agree that maybe others should have been in ahead of Sutton, I do think he was more than just a player made to look better by Shearer. The partnership was, and maybe always will be (in my opinion) the best in Premiership history and both played a major part in this. Sutton isn't a patch on Shearer but wasn't bad :)
Hughes Da Man
Couldn't have said it better myself ex ewood.
