Roberts Player of the Month (Apr)

Roberts Player of the Month (Apr)

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Player of the Month for March?" You voted in favour of Jason Roberts.

After a season disrupted by injury and then a fight to get a starting place back, recent weeks have seen Roberts show EXACTLY what he is all about! So after a month of goals and a hand in those for others with 45% Roberts is comfortably voted the Player of the Month for April, after likewise claiming the Forward of the Month Award last week.

Having been voted Player of the Month for the previous two months Christopher Samba had to settle for a runners up place this time round with 25%.

David Dunn (13%), Benni McCarthy (9%), Brett Emerton (5%) and Aaron Mokoena (3%) completed the poll.

So in summary
David Dunn - 13%
Brett Emerton - 5%
Benni McCarthy - 9%
Aaron Mokoena - 3%
Jason Roberts - 45%
Christopher Samba - 25%

So the search for April's Player of the Month has ended with JR taking the crown, the current poll is asking, "Rovers Man of the Match verses Newcastle?"

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findingsā€¦

Well done JR certainly deserved this accolade! Looking back isn't something we should do too much but I wonder just how much better e would have been doing with a fit JR all season?!?! Although on the other hand his absence has seen the emergence of Matt Derbyshire, so every cloud!

If my thinking is right and defeat (as much as I wouldn't want this!) to Tottenham on Thursday would esure a place in the Intertoto Cup thus giving us a chance of next seasons UEFA Cup then maybe so. However, victory over Spurs on Thursday could still see us miss out on the Intertoto Cup even if we win on Sunday so we may well still need him! Hell if we are in with a chance of UEFA Cup automatic qualification we'll definitely need him! I hope Wigan stay up though as I feel the Hammered SHOULD go down after breaching rules.

It appears Bolton have applied for the Intertoto Cup, so sorry Worbo NO chance of us being kind enough to lend you JR for the game!

Its about time Roberts got fit enuff for a couple of games, to show his worth, keep him fit and along with Benni and Derbyshire, with the addition of another striker, cos u need at least 4 and Hughes seems to like Gallagher for the wings now and we will be more comfortable for Europe next season for definate.

well Bents4eng Spurs can def be got at, Dawson is a good centreback but dont know about the phyiscal side of his game, something that Roberts can take advantage of I think and they are stuggling at left back this season and with Bentley on form for us then this could well be a good thing

You have EVERY right to be excited Bents4eng, it'll be a corker, and a corker we'll win! We owe them for what happened at Ewood Park earlier in the season!

Blackburn Confirm Caddis Arrival

Caddis, who left Bury at the end of a short deal, was given his chance due to his previous with Blackburn boss Mowbray at Celtic. But the ex-Birmingham full back has secured a deal.

Samuel Signing Sealed

Blackburn have signed Reading forward Dominic Samuel, who once worked with Mowbray at Coventry - also loaned to Colchester, Dagenham and Gillingham, ending last season at Ipswich.

Just Saying, But What If....

Blackburn will do well under the boss. However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn't secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray?

Caddis At The Double

Caddis has now spent the past three weeks with Blackburn, joining the club in Austria last week, and Mowbray, his boss at Celtic earlier in his career, is close to making his decision.
