Aaron Mokoena Top Rovers Midfielder

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked "Midfielder of the Month for April?" You voted in favour of Aaron Mokoena.

Aaron Mokoena is usually VERY much underrated and lives in the shadows of others, but April has seen him come into the light! So after a series of quietly impressive showings, with 39% the Axe has been voted the Midfielder of the Month.

Finishing in a (fairly) close second place with 25% sees David Dunn join him in the final vote to determine the Rovers Player of the Month poll later in the week, closely followed by David Bentley in third with 17%.

Completing the poll were Morten Gamst Pedersen (11%), Sergio Peter (6%) and Tugay (2%).

So in summary
David Bentley - 17%
David Dunn - 25%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 11%
Aaron Mokoena - 39%
Sergio Peter - 6%
Tugay - 2%

As the search for April's Player of the Month rolls on the current poll is asking, "Forward of the Month for April?" Who will join Brett Emerton, David Dunn, Christopher Samba & Aaron Mokoena? You decide!

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings…

Top stuff Mokoena, GREAT to see him gaining some credit he rightly deserves. He's a better footballer than he's given credit for as let's face it you don't play for, let alone captain your nation side (as the Axe does South Africa) if you don't have something about you do you.

Correct HDM... fully agree with you. I think the Axe has stepped into Robbie's shoes very well.

He certainly has, given an extended run in the side has seen him benefit, playing a game here and there, or as was more often the case a part of a game here and there has benefited him. He's again shown me that he CAN and WILL do a job if asked.
