Time for Rovers to Shine

Time for Rovers to Shine

Destiny awaits Blackburn Rovers Football Club, we are potentially just ninety minutes away from the FA Cup Final. Can we do it? sasman shares his thoughts…

This article was original submitted and posted some weeks back, but with the Semi Final just upon us I thought some inspirational words would fire us up and get us into a positive frame of mind (if needed?) so decided to share sasman's thoughts again, with minor adjustments, at the time it wasn't known if it would be Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur we would face.

Picture This. You're given one opportunity to make your dream come true. One chance to show who you are, do you shine or do you flop.

15th of April, hopefully we will remember this day as the day we shined. The day we showed the footballing world that Blackburn Rovers is a force to be reckoned with. Not a team that plays with their body, rather a team that can play football, the world game. Hopefully, we will face a full strength Chelsea outfit. Hopefully we have a full strength outfit. Hopefully our boys turn up and do the unthinkable, beat a full strength Chelsea.

There will be the doubters, it was luck, but we know different. We know what our talented boys from across the globe are capable off. But its time to shine, we have no fear. A win in the semi final will almost guarantee another European adventure for the men in blue and white halves.

I'll remember April the 15th. Sitting down, in my Sydney home, watching the game with my brother (Chelsea fanatic) and I believe that I will be laughing at the end, and so will the boys in the blue and white halves.

Don't forget "Walkerbout" Sunday Evening's in the forum between 6pm & 8pm - For more information click here. There will be no Walkerbout this week (Sunday 15th April) due to the FA Cup Semi Final BUT it will return on Sunday 22nd April).

But don't forget the forum itself, you can talk about whatever you want there and YOU decide what it is! Forum Link.

We won't quite be at full strength, but from those that would have been available anyway (at the time sasman originally wrote this) we pretty much are. I really like this article, quality stuff sasman. It's inspired me and my 50:50 thought on our chances have increased. Still not certain we will win but the more I read this the more inspired and confident I become. Hopefully (if needed) it gives others extra inspiration?!?!

We'll see Merlin, we'll see. My belief that we can do it is growing more and more as kick off gets closer!

If he uses that sort of team talk then he can do no wrong. Guaranteed that sparky's team talk will involve the Semi from 2 years ago.... lets right the wrongs...

We've not only got a defeat to better from last time but also a reputation to repair!

Lets show them what we can do... we are a much better team than last time around...

MUCH, MUCH better team, if we are honest we were a dirty side but we were fighting quite litterally for our lives weren't we!

will cska chelsk realy care about this cup? they are fighting for the CL and the PL, blackburn should win realy.

Not sure I agree Mike. Mourinho has NEVER won this cup and may never get another chance?!?! The FA Cup is special and is a prize people ALL round the world want so I'm sure he wants this as much, if not more than the others. Saying Rovers SHOULD win is something that I fear to even suggest myself, you are the first person I've heard say this full stop.
