'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Axe Looking to Chop Down Chelsea

Blackburn Rovers midfield Aaron "the Axe" Mokoena is backing Rovers to overcome Chelsea in Sunday's FA Cup Semi Final, even if this means putting our bodies on the line!

The uninspiring defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend may have left some with serious doubts as to our chances of beating Chelsea in Sunday's FA Cup Semi Final but the Axe remains confident, as we all should that we can do so:

"Chelsea are a big team. They have fantastic players, as we do as well. But no-one is unbeatable in this league.

"We are going to go out there, do what we are capable of, and give it our best shot.

"It's possible (we can beat them). We've just got to make sure we go there with a positive mind and play to the level we know we are capable of.

Belief that you can win isn't enough, full commitment to every challenge and ensuring that everyone is pulling in the right direction is also vital as I'm certain they will, along with some luck of course!

The South African International added:

"It's game where we will have to put our minds, souls and bodies on the line.

"We'll really have to get together, even if things don't always go our way.

"We have to make sure that after the 90 minutes, we feel like we've really given it a go, and we are certainly capable of that. It's there for both teams."

Fighting talking from the midfield enforcer, exactly what we want to hear.

Come on Rovers it's all or nothing know. Let's hope we can be wielding "the Axe" on Sunday! Sorry, I know that was bad but couldn't help myself LOL.

Well, we have the small matter of the Champions League tonight before we can start thinking about the weekend. At least you have plenty of days to prepare.

The price you pay for success isn't it TT! You can look at it the other way though we've had even more time to reflect on a shocking display and a second successive home defeat, third Premiership defeat in a row. Not really ideal preperations for the Semi Final. You'll go through tonight (and I'll be cheering you on) so you'll come into it on a high.
