Rovers Kids For A Quid Offer

The latest Blackburn Rovers move, not only increase attendances but also make football more affordable has seen them offers home and away fans a "kids for a quid" offers on Saturday.

The club have just sent me another press release (below) detailing this offer.

KIDS ON TO A WINNER AGAINST THE VILLA

Blackburn Rovers are offering fans of the future the opportunity to watch live Premiership football for only £1.

As part of a continued strategy to make football affordable for all ages, Rovers have introduced a special junior match day price of £1 to see Aston Villa at Ewood Park.

With the two teams battling for a top table finish, both home and away under-16 supporters will be able to take advantage of the 'kids for a quid' offer.

The Premiership fixture scheduled for Saturday 7 April 2007 will see Rovers take on O'Neill's revitalised Villa squad in what promises to be an exhilarating match.

Simon Williams, Head of Sales and Marketing at Rovers said: "This is a fantastic offer and we want as many children as possible to come to Ewood and see at first hand the passion and excitement a Premiership match generates.

"The lifeline of Rovers and live football itself lies within our children's hands, it is our responsibility to encourage young people to watch Premiership games live."

Rovers have developed a planned strategy to attract more supporters through the turnstiles during the course of the season. This has included reducing ticket costs for crucial Premiership fixtures, the introduction a match loyalty card, attractively priced Season Tickets and reduced prices for the club's home matches in the UEFA Cup.

Obviously incentives are to increase crowds but the club also genuinely want to make football more affordable for all, so this is another good move. Easter week, families bound to be together, kids for both sides getting in for a quid, it's a winner isn't it!

I just wish they had given more notice. I would have liked to have gone. Do they have any others planned?
Wellsy
They don't usually announce them until just before the event do they. I'll try and find out what I can about anymore upcoming ones. With it being Easter it is an ideal time for them to do so isn't it.
