Gray Not Making Any Rash Decisions

Blackburn Rovers left-back Michael Gray has made a successful start to his Leeds United career but is adamant he will not make any quick decisions over his future

I didn't see it, but by all accounts Gray made a fine start to his second loan spell at Elland Road, playing a major role in Leeds' vital 2-1 victory over Preston North End on Friday Evening.

Leeds boss Dennis Wise is believed to be keen to extend Gray's loan deal, currently due to end at the end of April for longer, maybe even permanently but Gray will not discuss this just yet:

"The future is not in my hands and it's something I can't speak about at the moment," said Gray.

"I'm a Blackburn player and I'm here on loan. I'm here for a month and I'll give 100 per cent, like I did last time. I'll show a bit of passion."

Gray had not featured for Rovers since Stephen Warnock's January arrival (in fact even before this) and despite obvious frustration accepts why this is the case but also admits he doesn't want to be playing second fiddle long-term. He added:

"He (Warnock) is one of the best left-backs in the country.

"Stephen's been terrific since he came to the club. There are no qualms there.

"When you're sitting on the sidelines, you're always thinking about where your next chance is going to come from. I'm not a player who likes to sit in the stands. I did it a couple of years ago, and I didn't like it then."

Gray may return in the summer but I still personally believe he has no future with Rovers, in fact I would be surprised if he had a future in the Premiership at all…

I'm glad to hear things are going well for. I have nothing personal against Mickey but just don't believe he has the quality to perform consistently in the Premiership any longer. He could sit on the bench next season but this will not help anyone, his wages need to be off the roster at Ewood. However, I'll wish him luck wherever he may go, Leeds or otherwise.
