Easter With The Family!

Blackburn Rovers fans have no excuse for not spending Easter Monday with the family now as the Premiership match with Tottenham Hotspur has been rescheduled.

Rovers were due to face Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Monday 9th April, but with Tottenham still very much involved with the UEFA Cup Rovers have agreed to re-arrange the fixture. The game will now take place on Thursday 10th May kicking off at 8pm. The game will also be shown live on Sky Sports.

Anyone planning on sneaking away from the family for a few hours (not that I'm suggesting any of us would do this of course!) will now have no excuses for not having a nice long Easter weekend with the family, after Aston Villa on the Saturday of course…

Don't forget "Walkerbout" Sunday Evening in the forum between 6pm & 8pm. I DO HOPE THAT MANY ROVERS FANS AND ANY OTHER VITAL FOOTBALL FANS FOR THAT MATTER WILL TURN UP. Topics up for debate are down to you! For more information click here

This is both good and bad for Rovers. Obviously for those wanting to spend time with the family they can, those wanting to go to the game could now find this harder in the rescheduled tie. The timing of the rearranged match comes days before the Cup Semi Final also! I'm not sure if the original tie was meant ot be on Sky but of not it also smells somewhat of TV getting their own way again?!?!

Im gutted because I was meant to be going and I dont get down to the lane much sob! Blackburn are a good side and would of been a game worth watching! Hope my ticket counts for the game on the 10/5

I'm in Spain after Easter anyway - so it's good for me! flying out after Villa Game at Home and then back in time for Semi final at OT.

Hmmm, not questioning the Rovers fans committment but how many are going to make it down to London for an 8pm kick off on a thursday night? Sky just doesn't give a flying about the supporters who want to attend games....

Shropshire Yid I'd be amazed if your ticket wasn't valid for the re-arranged game/ Something is SERIOUSLY wrong if it isn't. You are right skins Rovers won't have that much following that night. People have to work etc. don't they so it'll be tough, plus with it being on TV it will be easier for some to do it that way, not that I'm saying not going makes you any less of a fan by anymeans. For any number of reasons MANY, MANY fans can't make games.
