Time for Rovers to Shine

Destiny awaits Blackburn Rovers Football Club, we are just ninety minutes away from the FA Cup Final. Can we do it? sasman shares his thoughts…

Picture This. You're given one opportunity to make your dream come true. One chance to show who you are, do you shine or do you flop.

14th of April. Hopefully we will remember this day as the day we shined. The day we showed the footballing world that Blackburn Rovers is a force to be reckoned with. Not a team that plays with their body, rather a team that can play football, the world game. Why this date you ask? Hopefully, we will face a full strength Chelsea outfit. Hopefully we have a full strength outfit. Hopefully our boys turn up and do the unthinkable, beat a full strength Chelsea.

There will be the doubters, it was luck, but we know different. We know what our talented boys from across the globe are capable off. But its time to shine. Whether it be against Chelsea or Tottenham, we have no fear. A win in the semi final will almost guarantee another European adventure for the men in blue and white halves.

I'll remember April the 14th. Sitting down, in my Sydney home, watching the game with either my brother (Chelsea fanatic) or my best mate (Tottenham fanatic), and I believe that I will be laughing at the end, and so will the boys in the blue and white halves.

I hope, and even think we'll all be laughing at the end of out Cup semi-final. Come on you blue and white halves.

This semi will have more impact on our season than winning the final. Playing United in the final (the most likely option) will guarantee UEFA cup action again. Playing Watford or Borough will mean that we have to win the final. HOWEVER, we should be hoping to play Spurs... not because they are the "easier" option... no offence to the Yid Army... but because if they beat us and play United and then finish fifth or sixth in the league... that will make seventh a UEFA spot and eigth will be intertoto... Remember that we actually play Totttenham on the 9th April in the league 4 or 5 days before we play the semi final...
