The draw for the FA Cup Semi Final has been made with Blackburn Rovers paired with either Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur.
Obviously you don't get an easy semi-final draw but after overcoming Manchester City 2-0 at Ewood Park on Sunday thanks to goals from Aaron Mokoena, his first for the club (before later being sent off for two bookings!) and Matt Derbyshire we became the first club at the time to secure a place in the last four, our reward a tie with Chelsea or Tottenham who drew 3-3 on Sunday.
The draw in full reads as follows:
Blackburn Rovers v Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur
Watford v Middlesbrough or Manchester United
The dream Final for the FA of Chelsea and Manchester United is still possible after they were drawn apart again although Tottenham and Middlesbrough respectively will be hoping to gatecrash this party by winning their replays, although you can't help but think they've both missed their chances? Failing that we'll be hoping to do our part, Tottenham would be the preferred choice I'm sure but on a neutral ground in a one off nothing to lose match Chelsea could be beaten, we've done it before and we CAN do it again.
We are now potentially ninety minutes away from a place in the first FA Cup Final at the newly refurbished Wembley…
