Huddersfield Want Jansen

Huddersfield manager Peter Jackson has admitted to making a general inquiry about the availability of striker Matt Jansen.

Jansen has become increasingly frustrated at his lack of first team opportunity at Ewood having only made one start this season.

Jansen told the Sunday Times. 'I love the club but what was happening was tearing me apart. I'm not a troublemaker and I don't kick up a stink if I'm not in the team, but enough is enough.”

'I've worked hard and put in some of my best-ever training sessions, but it's like I'm invisible and no-one's watching. I respect Mark Hughes' decisions but I want to be playing.'

Crowd favourite Jansen, who helped rovers back to the Premiership with 23 Goals in 40 Games during the 2000/01 season, has also attracted interest from Lancashire neighbours Preston.
