Vital Blackburn Trivia!

It's Vital Blackburn trivia time again…

This trivia question comes from govtpros. As it is again FA Cup weekend this one surrounds on just that, the FA Cup.

So here is the question:
"Who has held the FA Cup for the longest period?"

If the winner wishes to contribute anything to the site, maybe a trivia question of their own, an article or poll maybe this can be arranged? I'll contact them, if they don't contact me first!

Think you know the answer? Put yours below...

If u mean most ever wins then that would be Manchester United with 11 Fa Cup final victories. If you mean successively, then that would be a tie between Wanderes, 1876,77 and 78 and our mighty rovers 1884,85 and 86 champions
sasman
If that were the question you'd be right, good attempt but its not the answer we're looking for. We want the team that has held the cup for longest.
Hughes Da Man
dam lol. Held the cup the longest? What does that exactly mean, not to sure
sasman
Right, it means the team to have won the FA Cup and then kept hold of it for the longest period of time.
Hughes Da Man
hehehe............ come on you bluuuuues
govtpros
Looks like you've stumped 'em govtpros!!! I must admit though (obviously not bragging!) I knew the answer without you saying :)
Hughes Da Man
I think i have it, is it Portsmouth who held it for i think about 7 years due to world war 2?
sasman
That's the one sasman. We have a winner and a NEW winner at that, govtpros couldn't win as it was his question, MikeyGamst wasn't in the running nor was BomBom. Well done sasman, if you have a trivia of yor own to set drop me an email or sent it in an article suggestion.
Hughes Da Man
