Roberts Out to Impress Rovers

After an injury hit season of frustration Jason Roberts is now back and ready to prove himself a hit for Blackburn Rovers as he looks to play a key part in the remainder of out season.

Injuries had limited Roberts to just five starts for Rovers this season before his return from his latest injury set back, the broken metatarsal sustained in October. With him very keen to impress and play his part in what could still be a fine season one again despite our UEFA Cup exit he acknowledges that he will have to be at his best and work very hard to impress Mark Hughes:

"It has been very frustrating. I have not had the opportunity to show the fans at Blackburn what I can do.

"But hopefully I can get back fit and get in the team and get involved.

"It will be tough for me to get involved, but that is my aim.

"There's not much you can do about injuries, you just have to do the best you can.'

Injuries can't be helped but I for one am fully behind Roberts and feel sure he will come good and we'll see the very best of him; the kind of form we saw from him at Wigan Athletic last season.

I'm a BIG fan of JR's and he'll come good, it does seem that he may have even slipped behind Derbs in the pecking order though?

We know what he can do. He aint doin it at the moment due to lack of match fitness and confidence. But he will soon.
