Vital View - League 1 - 27th January 2018

The League One season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Blackburn missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Wigan - who overcame Premier League side West Ham in the FA Cup - when held by struggling Northampton. Those dropped points allowed Shrewsbury - winners at Portsmouth - to move above Rovers into second.

As things stand it looks as if Bradford could slip out of play off contention as a poor run of form continued when the Bantams were hammered at Valley Parade by struggling Wimbledon.

Fellow promotion hopefuls Doncaster and Scunthorpe also slipped up when beaten by Bristol Rovers and Southend, respectively.

Here's a round-up of the League One results.

Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Northampton Town 15:00
Blackpool P-P Charlton Athletic 15:00
Bradford City 0-4 AFC Wimbledon 15:00
Doncaster Rovers 1-3 Bristol Rovers 15:00
Gillingham 2-1 Fleetwood Town 15:00
Oldham Athletic 1-2 Plymouth Argyle 15:00
Portsmouth 0-1 Shrewsbury Town 15:00
Southend United 3-2 Scunthorpe United 15:00
