The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United this Tuesday.

Blackburn Rovers host Rotherham United on Tuesday September 26 for the game at Ewood Park and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Mark Heywood
Assistant Refs: Geoffrey Liddle and Natalie Aspinall
Fourth Official: Nicholas Barnard

Match Day referee Heywood has officiated seven games in 2017/18, showing 23 yellow cards and one red card so far.

He took in 36 games in 2016/17 with a return of 162 yellow cards and seven red cards.

His highest card count that season was ten yellows in the game between Mansfield Town and Accrington Stanley and prior to that he showed eight yellows and one red in the game between Wycombe Wanderers and Luton Town.

He took in 27 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 91 yellow cards and seven red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Barnet on August 25 with a total of six yellows shown. Birmingham and Nottingham Forest on September 15 also saw six.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
