Mowbray Credits The Roverites

Mowbray Credits The Roverites

Yes, the Blackburn focus from the week in Austria was to build up form and fitness ahead of the new season but the part the fans have played, commitment shown too, shouldn't be overlooked.

Tony Mowbray's made sure this wasn't the case as the Rovers boss praised those who travelled to Salzburg for Friday's defeat against Sparta Prague.

He told the Official Website: 'It is great to see people supporting the football club with as much passion as they have got. I think the team performed at a reasonable level for them, it was a tight football match, two decent teams.'

Mowbray went on to say he hoped the Roverites enjoyed the game and could then enjoy the Austrian city of Salzburg after.

'Hopefully the fans enjoyed the game and hopefully they enjoy the city tonight. It is great to see Rovers fans out here supporting the team.'
