'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Player Profile: Keith Treacy

Full Name: Keith Treacy
Date of Birth: 13th September 1988, Republic of Ireland
Nationality: Irish
Position: Winger
Squad Number: 29
Internationals: Capped at all levels up to under-19 for Republic of Ireland

Keith Treacy is another of the Irish contingent of successful Blackburn Rovers academy products.

Having impressed significantly during his two-years with Rovers Treacy is already a regular in the reserves despite having recently only turned 18-years-old.

The left-winger has represented the Republic of Ireland at all levels up to and including under-19 level being a regular in the side. Another who will be looking to make the step up to the under-21's sooner rather than later; with a place in the first team Rovers squad likely to come soon.

His impression has been such that Mark Hughes made him part of his pre-season plans in the summer of 2006 and awarded the man with a keen eye for goal a squad number of 29 shortly before the start of the 2006-2007 season.

In order to gain first team experience Treacy was sent out on loan to join Stockport County in November 2006.

Treacy was yet to make a Rovers appearance up to the start of the 2006-2007 season.

Again I'm afraid that vital don't have an image of Keith Treacy yet so had to use the beast again! Treacy is VERY highly rated so his loan spell will only benefit him. Should MGP and/or Sergio Peter move on we look like having an able deputy to fill in sometime down the line.

So, you cannot use pictures freely available from the interenet? You have to wait for Vital to what, purchase picture rights? so im guessing you dont have many pics then? lol

They can't breach any copyrights. We have a load to select from but have to let admin sort them out for us when we pick the ones we want. We only have certain windows to get them in also, and amounts. We have a fair few here, at least one of most current squad. People like Keith haven't played any first team football for Rovers so no images are available yet, once he plays they'll appear for us to select.
