Rovers Trio Ever Closer to Returns

The news all Blackburn Rovers fans have been longing to hear; Ryan Nelsen, Steven Reid and Jason Roberts will be back in competitive action very soon!

With the trio fighting back from long term injuries, some more long term than others Rovers boss Mark Hughes has revealed that in the coming weeks all three will take part in some specially arranged behind closed doors friendlies. Hughes said:

"All three are doing very well and now it is a case of getting their match fitness levels up to the right standards.

"It is great to have them involved with the group again and, as I have said before, it is a bit like welcoming three new signings to the club.

"We have sorted some games and we will then be able to properly assess each situation in turn. We are very encouraged by how things are going for all of them."

It is looking very promising that all three could be back in first team action by the end of the month, so if nothing else we'll have three new signings this month!

This is great. They will definately be like new signings. Real quality to come back and once again create the spine of our team.
roversman
Spine of the team, key words here as they are just that key to the ballance of the side from front to back.
Hughes Da Man
Nelsen will bring back a command at the back that is missing without him, Hughes should have seen this this season and hopefully dring in another big charactor at the back!! Roberts is, with the options open to Rovers, THE best partner for Benni, very quick, has strength and scores goals, he has been sorely missed
