Rovers 5th Favourites to Lift FA Cup

Off the back of the emphatic 4-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park depending on where you look Blackburn Rovers are now fifth favourites to win this seasons FA Cup!

Before the weekends fixtures you would have got odds of 28/1 on Mark Hughes leading Rovers to Cup glory this season; making them one of the least fancied Premiership sides.

Following the resounding victory over a more fancied Premiership outfit and the exit of holders Liverpool these odds have been almost halved with us now 16/1 fifth favourites behind Chelsea (5/2), Arsenal, Manchester United (both 3/1) and Tottenham Hotspur (10/1); with Spurs still needing to even make it through to the fourth round, they require a replay against Championship side Cardiff City.

I'm not advocating betting, but every now and again I place a small wager… I'm just glad I did this before the third round tie; although 16/1 still gives you a decent chance of a good return so if you have a few quid to spare why not miss out on a couple of pints or a packet of fags (again not that I'm advocating either if these vices) this week and back the boys...

I have to admit that I've got also got a bet on Rovers to win the UEFA Cup and an accumulation bet on us to win both which would net me a VERY tidy profit! UEFA Cup is more likely but with the way the draw is shaping up should United and Arsenal tumble, which is a possibility even Chelsea who face a tough task then maybe it'll be Corfu for Christmas for me in 2007!

wow 5th favs, thats worth a whole article in itself isn't it... come on, all i am seeing balckburn this and bla********hat....11th in the league and you had a good win against everton, but didn't arsenal spank you 3 weeks ago 6-2 ?
PUREGOLD
Vital Blackburn is Vital Blackburn PUREGOLD it is run how I want it to be run and how others on here want it to be run; when I come on Vital Arsenal quoting stuff like this you can moan when its on here you don't have a leg to stand off so get back to Vital Arsenal if you don't have anything constructive to say here. I'd hardly call it a spanking, sure it was 6-2 but NEVER a true reflection of the game.

If Rovers are to stay in the cup for a few more rounds, supporting at those matches wont leave much money left for "pints or fags". Good job I've given one of them up, in order to continue my Rovers 'vice'. Puregold; if you get six goals past us at Ewood, we would allow you to crow a little, personaly I think you will be surprised how many times your Keeper will be picking the ball out of his net. The six you scored against us might yet turn out to be the best medicine we had this season.

Poll results. Can we take these with anything more than a pinch of salt. Roversman achived 19 points for polls in December. How many polls were there? How many points per entry?

WHEN my winnings pay out r.waterfall I'll see that you are alright; Corfu for Christmas with me; with us all :) Touche on the point towards puregold aswell. Bradders may pick the ball out of the net once or twice on Saturday (obviously I hope not but I'm realistic) but I can see Mad Jens doing like wise but a few more times! That defeat has certainly given us the kick we needed we owe the Gooners a BIG Thank you!

How do you work it out that Roversman got 19 points for polls in December? There are probably 10-20 polls per month anyway so that could in actual fact be right as you only get a point when you vote on a poll. You get points for posting comments in the forum and the main page articles as well, but the more you post in one particular area the less you get each time so the more comments you need to make to boost them. It's not a competition anyway though is it? Don't forget ANYONE in the Vital Football network can post comments on any clubs site/forum and vote on polls so people do that here also.
