'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Last Rovers Men Standing!

With the midway point of the season reached I just thought it was time to praise a few Blackburn Rovers footballers if for nothing else but the fact that they have started every match.

Goalkeeper Brad Friedel and midfielder David Bentley are the only two Rovers stars to have started every Premiership game so far during the 2006-2007 season; which Friedel aside (as you'd expect a goalkeeper of Friedel's quality to be the regular starter injury aside) is some achievement.

Hopefully this can be maintained through the season although I very much doubt that Bentley will make it as I'm certain suspension will come into play at some point, as it did for Benni McCarthy recently, who but for this would have also made it through the midway point as an ever present.

Only an injury in our clash with Wigan Athletic has denied Friedel from playing every minute of every game. Injury forced him off at half time in this match with Jason Brown coming on in his place.

Friedel is an injury doubt now though isn't he? Hopefully he can shake off his problem and be fit as although Jason Brown will be an able deputy I'd rather see Bradders between the sticks.

Without Brad we would have been in the relegation zone.

Wouldn't disgree in the slightest. He's made save after safe to win us games, save us from defeat or at least humiliation. LEGEND!
